What’s the easiest way to make a taco?
This is kind of silly, but maybe don’t make a taco! Try making taco noodles instead! My Creamy Taco Shell Recipe is a great way to feed your family for a very affordable meal that will go a long way.
When I make this my kids get so excited because they love pasta AND tacos. To win!
What kind of pasta works best for these creamy taco shells?
I love the medium-sized clams for this creamy pasta bowls recipe because they cook quickly and are easy to find on the grocery store shelf. I have to say it’s hard to find the whole grain version sometimes, so do what you can.
I’ve done this with different types of pasta and find it works well with most shell versions.

This meal is so easy! It’s all cooked in one pan and only takes 30 minutes from start to finish. My favorite type of dinner!
I made my own taco seasoning, but you can definitely use any store-bought version.
You can omit the ground turkey if you want a meatless dish, or substitute ground beef if you have that on hand.
My family really loves this recipe and I will definitely be adding it to our rotation for dinner and leftovers for lunch!

instructions
-
Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the diced onions and cook for 3-5 minutes until soft. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
-
Add ground turkey and cook until no longer pink. Add taco seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
-
Stir in the tomatoes, black beans, and water. Add uncooked pasta. Cover and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender, about 20 minutes.
-
Once the pasta is cooked, add cream cheese and sour cream. Stir until everything is combined and creamy. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into bowls and serve with avocado, cilantro, salsa, lime… you get the point! Enjoy!
