Miki’s Food Archives: Air Fried Crispy Dry Grated Chicken Wings

My son loves Louisiana Chicken Wings from Wingstop, but their chicken wings didn’t taste “fresh” even though the seasoning was good. So I tried to replicate it at home, making my own dry rub, using fresh chicken wings instead of frozen, and air frying with my trusty Ninja Foodi. While not 100% the same in taste, they are garlicky, flavorful, and delicious.

Preparing is easy, just marinate the wings and throw them in the Ninja Foodi. The Ninja Foodi cooked food with a delicious, golden, crispy finish and juicy interior with minimal oil consumption. The fries were also made frozen with Ninja Foodi, we topped them with cheese sauce, so delicious!

8 chicken wings, halved

2 tsp cornmeal

2 tsp garlic salt

1 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp dried oregano

1/8 tsp white pepper

1/4 tsp lemon pepper or garlic pepper + pinch of salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/16 teaspoon cajun/chilli powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

Homemade Wingstop’s Louisiana Chicken Wings along with French fries with cheese sauce.
All air fried, so easy and delicious!

About Ninja Foodi Multi Cooker: The Ninja Foodi I use is a combination pressure cooker and air fryer in one appliance, super efficient and time-saving. In addition to pressure cooking and air frying, there are other functions such as steaming, slow cooking, searing/sautéing, baking/roasting, grilling, dehydrating, sous vide, yoghurt and keeping warm. This stove really helps in preparing quick meals with no hassle which I would highly recommend to anyone who loves easy and hassle free cooking with fewer pots and pans to wash.
