Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away to a place of pure tranquillity.

Over the years I have discovered that true healing occurs when we allow ourselves to surrender fully and embrace those moments of stillness – wherever you are. Although I’ve found that it helps when you are physically Immersed in the unchanging and unconditional beauty of Mother Nature!

Hands down, my personal favorite travel experience is spending time on health retreats! Nowhere do I feel more recovered and recovered.

Wellness retreats offer more than just relaxation—they allow us to hit the reset button of life, find inner peace, and return to our daily routines refreshed, energized, and rejuvenated than ever.

With love,

  1. Kamalaja: Kamalaya is a beautiful wellness retreat in Koh Samui, Thailand. If you want to cleanse in paradise, this is the place for you. In addition to a healthy eating philosophy that’s fresh is best, it offers a range of programs to suit travelers’ needs: fitness, detox, relaxation and stress reduction. At its core, it aims to help you reconnect with the world around you – a true reset for your mind, body and spirit.

  2. Como Shambala: 5-star luxury in the heart of Bali’s lush rainforest, just a 15-minute drive from the capital city of Ubud. The property offers a total wellness experience that combines yoga, Pilates, Ayurveda and a range of other therapies with a focus on holistic healing. I loved waking up each day to the sounds of nature, practicing yoga overlooking the valley, and indulging in their health-focused restaurant’s selection of bespoke dining programs. Cannot recommend this hotel enough all who seek deep rest and deep renewal.
    Highlights for me:
The property itself, the dietary focus, and the luxurious rooms are nestled in the lush Balinese rainforest.
  3. Aro-Ha: well-being personified. The best way I can describe this particular health retreat is: transformative. Set against a backdrop of some of New Zealand’s most mesmerizing scenery, my experience here was one of true spiritual awakening. Hike all day in the Southern Alps and constantly immerse yourself in nature – you can really immerse yourself in what matters.
Highlights for me: The yoga, the wide view and I felt as I walked… on cloud nine!
  4. Vana: A sanctuary for the senses in Dehradun, India, where healing and transformation are at the heart of what she does. Their wellness programs are tailor-made for each guest and focus on holistic nutrition through Ayurveda, yoga, mediation and more. The food is locally sourced and carefully prepared with an emphasis on healthy, nutritious ingredients. I left Vana with a deep sense of peace, clarity and rejuvenation.

The focus is on the traditional healing method of Ayurveda, the food and the friendliness of the staff. Also the deep sense of peace I felt while being there.
  5. Gaia: As soon as I stepped onto the grounds of Gaia, nestled in the Byron Bay hinterland, I could feel the serene spirit of Mother Earth enveloping me in her embrace. The lush subtropical rainforest that surrounds the retreat is a sanctuary in itself and the perfect place to recalibrate. From daily yoga and meditation classes to nourishing spa treatments and delicious organic meals, every moment you spend here is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself and the beauty of Mother Nature. I’ve been going to Gaia for over a decade, it has become my destination.
Highlights for me: The food (no words really!), the treatments and the sense of warmth and healing that really enveloped me during my stay there.
  6. five elements: A truly special wellness destination on the banks of the sacred Ayung River in Bali. The signature retreat Panca Mahabhuta is a holistic program of rejuvenation, regeneration and alignment. With spa treatments, healing sessions, cleansing rituals, yoga and award-winning plant-based cuisine, you will leave another person. I felt that my time here allowed me to experience true natural healing on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.
Highlights for me: Being in Bali, known as the “Island of the Gods” for good reason – it’s so spiritual. The food and tropical foliage and weather were great too.
