Description

This moist orange bread recipe combines fresh juice and zest for the ultimate citrus loaf — soft, buttery, and full of sunshine.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup sugar

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

½ cup melted butter

2 large eggs

½ cup fresh orange juice

1 tbsp orange zest

¼ cup milk

¼ cup vegetable oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5 loaf pan.

2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. Whisk eggs, butter, oil, milk, vanilla, orange juice, and zest.

4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently.

5. Pour into pan and bake 50–60 minutes.

6. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan, and glaze.

Notes

For stronger orange flavor, warm zest in melted butter before mixing.

Use fresh juice for best results.

Add walnuts, cranberries, or chocolate chips for variation.
