Root Beer Cake by Jacqueline Colwell of Klamath Falls, Oregon
Required simple ingredients:
Yellow Cake Mix – We used a Betty Crocker Super Moist Yellow Cake Mix
12-ounce can Root Beer – We used Barq’s Root Beer
oil
eggs
powdered sugar
As you can see, this cake is very simple, but if you love root beer, you’ll love this combination. The cake has a wonderful taste and since you prepare the cake with the root beer and then pour some of it on top of the cake, it is extra moist. Jacqueline, thank you for submitting this recipe. Our friends and family all loved it and we’re definitely saving it! I’ve never made a root beer pie and this was a fun recipe.

- I think pecans would be a great addition to this cake
- You could make this in a 9X13 just adjusting the time according to the cake mix box and cream cheese frosting would be great too!
- This cake kept well in the fridge.
