This fluffy and soft bread is truly a favourite, made from an easy sponge cake recipe that makes it easy to make your own delicious sweet milk buns at home.




200 g bread flour

4 g instant yeast

20 g milk powder

25 g egg (lightly beaten)

100 grams of milk

main dough:

65 g bread flour

45 grams of sugar

1/2 tsp salt

30 grams of milk

30 grams of butter

1. Mix all the biscuit ingredients together. Cover with cling film and let rise for 1 hour.

Note: Add more milk if the batter is too dry

2. Add all the main dough ingredients (except butter) to the sponge cake and knead into a dough. Gradually knead in the butter. Continue kneading until the dough passes the window pane test.

3. Place the dough on the countertop, shape and let rise 1 hour or double in size. Bake at 170°C for 15 minutes.
