Let’s take a look at what makes this pudding so delicious.

You don’t answer

I gave this pudding an extra protein boost by using protein powder. Now here the taste choice is up to you.

You can use whatever you like, maybe you fancy vanilla or chocolate protein powder. The main problem is that there are too many protein powder flavors to choose from.

I chose cookies and cream, but be aware that the overall flavor of the dish will change depending on which one you choose, but choose whatever tickles your taste buds at the time!

Cocoa powder

I added some unsweetened cocoa powder to this Chocolate Protein Pudding recipe to enhance the chocolate quality.

The nice tartness cuts through the sweetness of the protein powder to really balance out this homemade pudding.

sugar and salt

I add a little sugar to help with that sweetness, but only 1.5 tablespoons to keep the calorie count and your glucose levels on track.

On the other hand, we will use much less salt! Adding salt to a dessert may seem strange, but each flavor needs to be balanced.

Vanilla extract

There is nothing about this ingredient that just adds that extra bit to every recipe.

It’s light, yet sweet, aromatic, yet subtle, and it works perfectly in protein pudding recipes.

Cornstarch

The cornstarch works to give the pudding a nice thick consistency. It is important to get it right before setting it.

milk

It wouldn’t be a good pudding without this classic dairy item. Eggs, milk, and butter work together to create the custard base for this dish.
